La DCC
Founded in 1967, the Catholic Delegation for Cooperation (Catholic development NGO), is the international service of the French Bishops Conference. Present in more than 50 countries, it follows every year more than 500 volunteers. They are in all areas of development and in types of trades.
DCC collaborates permanently with a large network of several NGOs. It is an association recognized to be of public utility and acknowledged as an organization of popular education and it coordinates the dialogue with government services for sending volunteers on mission. DCC is a founding member of the France Volontaires platform co-managed by the public authorities. DCC is a member of the NGO Volunteer Liaison Committee(CLONG-Volunteer) and Coordination SUD.
The DCC responds to the needs of its Southern partners who implement development projects. It is responsible for recruiting volunteers whose profile corresponds to their needs. It trains them before their departure on mission and ensures their follow-up during their mission. When they returns, it follows them and helps them to reintegrate in France.
