Volunteering with DCC

If you wish to put your skills at the service of development, the DCC offers two types of status to people wishing to leave as volunteers :
 International solidarity volunteering (12 to 24 months mission)
 The mission of solidarity (mission of 3 to 6 months).
Departures are possible all year round. The volunteer must have completed the entire DCC training programme before leaving.

International solidarity volunteering (12 to 24 month mission)

International solidarity volunteering (VSI) is a legal framework governed by the law of 23 February 2005. Before leaving, the volunteer signs a written contract with the DCC and the partner to whom he is sent. This contractual commitment is a derogation system from the French labor Code, halfway between voluntary work and salaried employment.

International solidarity volunteering is aimed at people at least 21 years old with professional skills.

In this context, you will benefit :
– a solid training before departure, a follow-up throughout your mission and individual support to your reintegration upon return,
– a return air ticket to go to the place of your mission,
– accommodation and meals on site,
– a monthly allowance starting at 100 €,
– full social protection, including affiliation to the “Caisse des Français de l’étranger”, health mutual, repatriation insurance and civil liability insurance,
– the pension contribution to the « Caisse Nationale d’Assurance Vieillesse ».

International solidarity volunteering is a legitimate reason for resigning, allowing people who have paid contributions before their VSI to receive unemployment benefit to help them return to work.

Solidarity mission (mission of 3 to 6 months)

The solidarity mission lasts from 3 to 6 months and is open to volunteers from the age of 18. It corresponds to a voluntary status.

In this context, you will benefit :
– a solid training before departure, a follow-up throughout your mission and individual support to your reintegration on return
– accommodation on site and meals
– Repatriation assistance and civil liability insurance.
You will be responsible for the round-trip airfare and associated costs (vaccines in particular).
